What about deep fried onion rings

pasta salad & chips or fries

potato salad...baked beans...tossed salad...raw vegie plate ....roasting ears...and on and on and on...yummy!

a mix green salad, nice and light

Potato Salad, chips, baked beans, mac & cheese.

French fries, even a normal salad (iceburg letter so it's crunchy!)

fr. fries, corn bread, salad, onion rings, corn on the cob, mac n' cheese... ok, just about everthing. "treat" it as a hamburger

ONION RINGS because they are not a bug side and they taste great!

Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob, Macaroni Salad, Cottage Fries, Fried Dill Pickles, Fried Okra (if you're a southerner) Tater Tots, A Garden or Ceasar Salad, Fried Sweet Potatoes, or Grits Casserole Obviously some of these things are regional and may not appeal to you, but don't knock em' til you've tried em'!!!

Potato salad or macroni salad works great with sloppy joes... gives you the crunch you don't get in the sloppy joes.
