Condensed Chicken Broth...?!

Question: I'm going to make a recipe that calls for condensed chicken broth. I have regular chicken broth, so can I use that instead, or will it not be the same thing? If not, then is there a way I can make condensed broth at home?

Simmer the regular broth until you reduce the volume by half and then you should be able to use it for your recipe.

You ca purchased condensed chicken broth at Sam's Club. But is your recipe calls for any more liq. just lessen it to take care of the extra liq. in the reg. chicken broth.

Either buy what the recipe calls for, or u can TRY to condense it by boiling it down.... or possibly reducing the other water in the recipe if it calls for any.

Condensed broth has half the water as regular broth. You would add one can of water to each can of condensed broth to make regular broth. you can make a can of condensed broth by reducing (cooking down) 2 cans of regular broth until it will fit into one can.
