What is a stick of butter?!


Question: i read it is 110grams but saw a recipee on here asking for 2 sticks of butter and they said it was half a pound (which seems a lot )
can anyone help clarify this as the recipe for tomato pudding sounded good

You can buy butter in tubs, or in l lb sticks. Each stick is the equivilent of 1/4 lb of butter. What you read is correct. 2 sticks is 1/2 lb of butter.

Yep, 1/2 pound....

it is half a pound. if your used to the cup butter, go to the store and buy the stick butter. then you can be sure that you have the right amount.
