Basically, it's already cooked. YOu're just gonna be adding flavor and drying out the pumped-in excess water. Both of these recipes are great! I use the first one on spiral-sliced hams all the time.

Best Glazed Ham

1 (10 lb.) cured ham, bone-in

Glaze:
1? c. brown sugar
3 tsp. spicy brown honey mustard
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
4 dashes Tabasco
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. fresh sliced ginger
hand full of cloves

Soak ham in water for 2-3 hours changing water every 45 minutes. Pat dry. Place ham cut side down in large roasting pan. Score ham in X’s w/ sharp knife, and place whole cloves in scored corners. Place all glaze ingredients into blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Gently and slowly pour glaze over ham, making sure it is totally glazed. Bake 4 hours at 300oF.. Tent with foil if browning too quickly during last hour.

Baked Virginia Ham
(**If you dont' have mango chutney, sub apricot preserves, orange marmalade, or drained crushed pineapple)

1 (14 - to 16 pound) fully cooked, spiral-cut smoked ham
6 garlic cloves
8 1/2 ounces mango chutney
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
Zest of 1 orange
1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

Preheat the oven to 350oF. Place the ham in a heavy roasting pan.

Mince the garlic in a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Add the chutney, mustard, brown sugar, orange zest, and orange juice and process until smooth. Pour the glaze over the ham and bake for 1 hour, until the ham is fully heated and the glaze is well browned. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Serves 50 for cocktails, 35 for dinner.

thats cool have Fun!!

HAM ROCKS!!!!!

Put a loose tent of foil over it, cook at 250 for around
1/ 1/2hours. It's cooked... you just want to warm it through and through. If there's a glaze packet, pour that over the ham, too.

I would go with Carly's answer. Cook slow and low. And if you don't think you will eat the whole thing, peel off what you do think you will eat and heat the remainder another time. Many times we have baked the whole ham and had lots of dried out leftovers.

Pre heat the oven to 200C and put in roast. After 20 minutes reduce heat to 165C and cook for a further 25-30 minutes per lb.
Allow 3 hours, and a bit more for the resting time.

Buy a butt portion ham. It will say fully cooked but it needs much more cooking. Rinse it and put it in a roaster pan or any big pan. Put water in the pan one third way up side of ham.( plenty of water) Be SURE to COVER. Put in oven for one and one half hours at 350degrees and cook. That's all there is to it.

since it's fully cooked, all you have to worry about is heating it all the way through. if it's still in it's wrapping, you can submerge it in tepid water, to help thaw it out. if you don't have time for that, place it in a roaster pan,on a rack and cover it tightly. if you don't have a rack, pour a small amount of water in the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking. bake in a preheated 350 degree oven. since it's solid, start with 30 mins. in the oven, covered. after that initial 30 mins., check periodically to see if it's heated through, and adjust your time accordingly. if you don't have a meat thermometer, just go in with a knife. cut a small piece from the center to check. if it comes with a glaze, just follow the directions on the packet.
good luck!

mix equal parts coke and honey pour over ham and bake @325 for 1 hour uncovered and 1 hour covered.

i can cook, just not ham. lol.
I can't really give u advice. I would if I could, but I'd just go with the ones above me if I were you
Sorry I couldn't help :(
