Can I freeze homemade Mac 'n Cheese?!

Question: I just made a double batch of easy velveeta mac 'n cheese with ground beef. One pan is in the oven right now, and the other is ready to go in...but I don't want to cook it this week. Can I freeze it (I was going to wrap it in tinfoil, then saran wrap...

Any other suggestions (other than eating tons of it lol)? Thanks!

You can freeze it, but the quality will not be as good as it is right now. And don't plan to leave it in the freezer for months.

When you want to freeze something that contains a macaroni product you want to be very sure to undercook the macaroni a little bit because of the additional cooking it will get in the oven later. You might also want to add a bit of extra sauce.

A handy thing to remember is that if you are making your sauces/gravies with corn starch they will separate after they have been frozen. You can substitute an equal measure of sweet rice flour to eliminate that.

One other freezing tip - buy yourself some of those really large ziplock bags that hold a couple of gallons. They also hold 9x13 pans.

wouldn't recommend it, the noodles will probably become mushy. You may want to freeze the cheese sauce & fixings and make the noodles fresh

yeah I think it will be o.k

Yes...you can buy frozen mac and cheese in a store, so why not? Wrap it tight with foil.

Probably not, the cheese and macaroni consistency will probably come apart during the freezing process.

Look to give some out to friends and family.
