I'm sure my boyfriend would, he buys alot of useless crap.

No, seems like a lot of money when you can make scrumptious roasted garlic wrapped in foil in the oven....

absolutely...when roasted garlic becomes almost sweet tasting...great on crackers or toasted italian bread.

It would probably be worth it if you do a lot of roasted garlic. Not having to turn on the oven for just that would save electricity, I bet.

But if you usually roast your garlic when the oven is on anyway, then it is just going to take up cupboard space.

seems worthless. i always roast my garlic by drizzling the garlic with olive oil, wrapping it up in foil and popping it in the oven. you always could get that high-tech garlic roaster but why waist the money?

It's good to have some kind of bakeware to put garlic in before roasting and terra cotta is a good conductor of heat and will keep the garlic from drying out as you roast it. That being said, it's just as easy to wrap the bulb in foil. It really depends on how often you roast garlic.
