Simple Icing Recipe..?!

Question: I noticed an icing recipe on the back of some christmas cookies I bought the other day, but I accidentally threw out the package. Anyone have it or something similar? It was just confectioner's sugar, milk, vanilla extract and that's it I believe. Anyhow if you have it or something close please assist, thanks.

2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons skim milk
*Few drops green food color

1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Make sure cookies are completely cool then coat each cookie with the white glaze.
2. To make colors, remove one of tablespoon glaze to several custard cups. Add 1 or 2 drops of food coloring to each. Make some tints and some darker colors for creative decorating. Use a small brush or toothpick to swirl colors into desired patterns on cookies.
3. To use the same recipe as frosting, simply add a little more powdered sugar to thicken.

Well, I just use butter with a lot of powdered sugar and then add whatever flavor desired.

This is the recipe I use for my cookie and cake icing:

1 box of confectioners (powdered) sugar
1/4 pound (1 stick) of butter
1/4 tsp of vanilla
milk

Cream the butter in the mixer until it turns a light yellow. Add powdered sugar slowly, and vanilla. Pour a little milk in at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

That's it!

I just use

1 box of powdered sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
6 Tbl. Softened Margarine

Then I start adding milk until I get the consistency I want.

If you want chocolate frosting add a few tablespoons unsweetened coco

The answer is use butter, icing sugar, milk, food coloring or flavor.
2 cups icing sugar for chocolate icing use 2 tbsp powdered cocoa
2 tbsp softened butter
1 tbsp milk to start more can be added as needed
1 drop of desired food color
a shake of salt.
Stir with a fork until smooth
Do not add too much liquid as this can make your icing too thin.
