What type of cookware is safe to use on an enamel top range?!

Question: I would like to purchase a good cookware set for my mother (who does a lot of cooking) for Christmas and she has a new Whirlpool electric range that has a flat, enamel cook-top. I'm having trouble finding anything that says its safe for use on this type of range - even the user's manual doesn't really give any suggestions.

I have the same type stove, anything works fine (except stonewear which can scratch it.) I use Calphalon anodized cookware which is very heavy and we have no scratches.

Suzie ...HI
I have the same cooktop at home. Almost any cookware is fine, except as noted above.
Visit the source listed below BEFORE you purchase any cookware. It will guide you with specifics in terms of what you and Mom need to know.

Flat bottomed cookware works best on this type of stove top. When I got mine, I found that my old, beloved Calphalon didn't seem to heat evenly on this range. I bought a set of Kitchen Aid stainless steal that was great. I think any (including Calphalon) that has a flat bottom will work well.

I like the cookware from Pampered Chef - esp. the Executive line which is non-stick inside and out. You can check it out if you like at:
