How do I cook my fajitas?!
Answers: I have raw chicken, seasoned for fajitas, an onion and a green bell pepper. Should I throw them all into the skillet at once or should I cook the chicken a bit first and add the vegetables after a certain amount of time?
I would throw everything in together but cook it until the chicken is completely cooked. This will carmelize the onions and the peppers really well giving the onion a sweet taste and cooking out the raw taste of the pepper that you get when the pepper aren't cooked long enough. I like it this way as it gives everything a real nice flavor.
Chicken first, then vegies, then fajita sauce at the end for the sizzle. Yuuummmmmyyyyyy.
If everything is sliced about the same size, you can toss it all in at once and then the onion and pepper will be well sauteed or start your chicken first and it'll brown more after you add your veggies.
Cook everything separately on a grill pan if possible.
First chop the chicken up and throw it on the skillet. When the chicken's cooked, add the fajita seasoning mix, and mix well. Next, add the green bell peppers.
first cook onions in butter and a little balsamic vinegar(2TBL)you can also add Worcester sauce, when the butter starts to brown them, remove from pan,put to one side, then in strips of chicken put these into pan with a little olive oil, cook till no pink shows,,then add your onions and seasoning, toss around then add your peppers,I usually add an uncle Ben's cook in sauce then, but that's up to you.Cook for possibly 5 minutes on a medium heat ,stirring all the time OR they will stick, when ready, turn out onto the Fajitas and then add the chutney, fold over and put a knife or spoon onto the wraps to hold down, grate some cheese and spread over cook for 5-8 minutes on a 200 deg oven til cheese melts and then EAT, brilliant hot or cold, but always better next day.ENJOY,I DO
