What side dish would go with this?!

Question: I am making manwich, <sloppy joes> any suggestions on a veg that might taste good with them!

A vegetable (not potato chips) the fresher, the better. I would slice up a cucumber and put it in a bowl of ice with vinegar and lemon pepper. That's great for a hamburger cookout on a warm day. After Thanksgiving, it's not the same. Then, I'd have a baked potato with Italian dressing on top.

Either fries, or a salad.

I usually do whole kernel corn or corn on the cob, and a salad.

I would make a nice salad or cole slaw rather than a cooked veg to go with sloppy joes. What time is dinner -- LOL.

Diced carrots, frozen peas or bean, can be added to the mince.

I would probably suggest carrots, celery, or maybe even asparagus,

Carrot sticks
Green salad
Cooked zucchini

tater tots!

Fries, salad,or Potatoes not mashed but the fried ones that are kinda like fries...that all I can think of right now...

I always serve pork and beans and chips with sloppy joes.
The idea of cole slaw sounds good too.

I like mine with a side of cole slaw
My son likes his with Pork - n - beans
Thanks for 2nights dinner idea!

I make this all the time with sloppy joes.

Baby Carrots with Dill Butter

INGREDIENTS
1 (16 ounce) package baby carrots
2 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS
Place carrots in a saucepan with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, and cook 10 minutes, until tender. Remove from heat, and drain. Gently toss with margarine, dill, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.

Mixed veggies, or corn on the cob, it is messy too. LOL

I have never had sloppy joes, but this is a favorite side for hamburgers in my family, they are much healthier than regular french fries.

Sweet potato oven fries. If you decide to make your own fries, parboil (partially boil with skins on to cook them for about 15-20 minutes) them first. Dry them really, really well. Then cut them into fries and bake them on about 400 for 18-20 minutes or until they are starting to get brown. Don't overcook these, the natural sugars can burn easily. I sprinkle on a spice mix I make myself with brown sugar, chili powder, garlic salt, pepper and cinnamon.

I would also add a side salad, maybe a simple lettuce, tomato, red onion with a homemade balsamic vinegrette with some fresh or dried mint. The sweetness will echo the sweetness in the sweet potato fries and the sloppy joes.

Corn on the cob or Pork & Beans

Reading all the answers above me are making me hungry! I am going to try that one with cucumber and the sweet potato fries.

Corn, potatoes, salad, or carrots.

Buttered mexican corn and cole slaw

corn on the cob and fries;;
or even potatoe salad...hmm lots of things go with it; be creative
