I cooked some frozen pies (chicken & veg) i put the oven on too high heat setting the pastrys brown but the?!
Answers: the in side is still a bit frozen, could i stick them in the microwave for a couple of minutes to heat the centre?...thanks, Iam bloody starving
Hi, make sure the chicken is cooked right through or it could make you feel ill. It should be okay in the microwave just check the centre of the pie first. You could peel off the really burnt pastry.
Next time, remember the check the oven temperature. I did the same thing but noticed what i had done half way through the cooking time. So i cover the pie with some foil and let it carry on cooking to the full time and it came out fine.
Bon apetite! x
yes u can and take the top layer of pastry off, that will make sure the pastry stays crisp and wont go soggy
yaeh
If you do this, the inside might cook, but the pastry will be disgusting and inedible. Open a tin of beans instead!
cover the brown part with foil and put it back in the oven to cook center
Sure, stick them in the microwave. By the way, next time you can cover the crust with foil until the last 15 mintues or so.
Put some individual slices in the microwave to finish cooking.
You can take off the top crust while it is in the microwave so it will stay crispy.
yummy is right, cover the top crust with foil and finish baking
u could cover the top of the pies with foil and continue cooking till the rest is cooked. if u put it in microwave pastry will go soggy.
Maybe you should take a trip to the opticians. Then you can read the instructions. Pre-heat the oven is possibly the key. Or defrost first.
