Where can I find a large gingerbread cookie cutter?!
Answers: I need to make about 60 dozen (yes you read right) cookies for next week and can't find a 6-8" cutter. I've tried Walmart, Michaels and Party City with no success. I'm going to call Target, Sur La Table and Cost Plus to see if they have anything. Anyone have any other suggestions? I need it quick because I just found out about the baking and will be doing it all weekend. HELP!
maybe try williams-sonoma. They always have things like that.

They have pretty big ones.
Hobby Lobby usually has big cookie cutters. I also saw some at World Market, I believe. Hope that helps! Happy baking!
I just make a large wall of gingerbread then jump through it and make a man sized hole.
There's a hole in my donut!.....wait, im in the rong forum aren't I?
I've never done it...
BUT
the tools may be here...

Look on top of the small gingerbread cookie cutters. some places stack them smallest on bottom - largest on top. You get the idea
Dang, I was going to suggest Michaels...I recommend you stick with your list. If Cost Plus doesn't have something like that, how can they call themselves the World Market? If you have it, you might want to check out Costco, or if you still can't find it, you could find it in a magazine or online and ship it priority one to your house. Maybe someone is selling it on Ebay!

^^^ They sell different sizes of cookie cutters, so you should check that out. If you're willing to buy off the net, you can just google it.
But if you need it by next week, you may be out of luck, I'm sorry )=
wow... those are pretty big... have you tried making a cookie cutter? you could go to a hardware store and get a strip of flashing, bend it around a broom stick or your countertop (something hard, get it? lol) and make the shape you're looking for. wow... good luck.
my only other suggestion if you can't find an 8" cookie cutter, is to roll out your dough, flour both sides of it, and stack it on top of itself. cut out a paper gingerbread man shape, and put it on top of 6 or 8 layers of the dough. then, use a sharp knife to cut thru all the layers. peel them apart, and bake. it might be quicker than using a cookie cutter anyway.
Good luck!!! :)
I had to buy mine at a cooking store in the mall cause that was the only place I could find it . good luck and god bless.
