Answers: No silly jokes thank you

Yes i have a quick one depending on how many ppl if just for coating 2 or3 fish 3 tablespoons of flour. 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. mix with 3 tablespoons of water, best batter in the world add salt and pepper, light as a feather, easy one still is 3 tablespoons of flour and small bottle of sparkling water and just mix . hope that helps.

egg flour and milk

Beer batter:

2 cups flour
1 bottle beer
1 tbsp white sugar

seasoning.. I've used;
Lemon Pepper
just salt and pepper
Old Bay seasoning
Chipotle Seasoning
Mesquite Seasoning packet

mix it all togther till it has a nice thick consistency. No flour lumps.

try replacing the water with lager.....i know it seems a waste but the result is well worth it!

use bread crumbs its a lot easier

There is no secret - EXCEPT
Use flour and water but NO salt.
Try it

self raising flour and sparkling water, the batter is crispy and light and scrumptious!

I agree with anyone who said beer batter. its yummy and chefs have been known to say its the best batter out there to make.

as a former chef i have to agree with the beer batter recipe given above, just change the beer to a dark beerfor a taste that will stun your taste buds,

Just dip the fish in eggs then into breadcrumbs and bake. I do it all the time its good.

I heard a chef on TV say that the best batter is the most simple. Just mix SR flour & water to the right consistency & flour & coat the fish with it. Another good one is beer batter, just use beer instead of water.
