Im in need of rice....can i just cook rice-a-roni without putting in the seasoning?!

Question: or any ideas?

Answers: or any ideas?

I would do the saute of the rice and noodles like it calls for on the box and then add water and whatever seasonings you would rather use - like broth in place of the water.

I'm assuming you are going to put something on top of it that you don't want to interfere with that flavor.

I would think you'd need to know what to have along WITH the rice. Instead of steamed rice try a baked potato. Microwave a medium potato on high for about six minutes and then wrap it in a plastic wrap to rest for about three. Works better in MOST cases than rice. Otherwise use beef or chicken broth in the rice-a-roni and remember it isn't going to taste like a white rice no matter how you cook it.
