I am in Boston, MA and we will be having baked pork chops, mashed potatoes and peas for dinner tonight - I have the chops thawing in the fridge right now.

fettucine carbonara

tasty chinky food.

I put a pot of garbanzos out to soak this morning. Tonight humus will be on the menu. I may make a vegetable curry and spoon it over some couscous (just the opposite of the image on Wiki). If I had some fish I'd make a fish couscous like my Sicilian friends do... but that's not going to happen today.
I suppose we'll pull out a fresh bottle of (still) prosecco to wash it all down with. Oh, and I wont forget to spice things up with a dab of harissa.

I bought a boneless pork roast yesterday. Going to cut some strips of it up and marinate it in soy, corn starch and sesame oil for about an hour or so.

then when I'm ready I'm doing some "spicey string beans" with the pork, or in chinese its called, "gan bian si ji dou / zhou-rou". I put the string beans in the pan in some HOT oil and fry them, then I pull them out and put the pork in and fry it. Then I put chopped garlic, ginger and green onions in the pan and get it nice and aromatic ... add some chili paste and soy sauce, sometimes oyster sauce and a little water. Throw the green beans back in and give it a toss, and then serve over jasmine rice :) Easy and quick.
And very tasty
