Does this sound like it would tase good?!

Question: I'm going to be making lasagna for my family tonight and I'm thinking about using both Alfredo sauce and tomato sauce (vary it in each layer.) I'm just wondering if that would taste good.

i think that would be an excellent combination.. just make sure you focus on one more than the other.. for example.. put more tomato sauce then Alfredo sauce.. all you want is a hint of alfredo sauce, you dont want to over do both of them.. too many different flavors..

I cant imagine why it wouldn't be. To make your dish sing (lol), use white cheddar cheese on the cheese layers and throw chopped fresh spinach on each layer.

You should try it because a little variety
is all it takes to make a meal memorable.

They are part of the recipe in the lasagna. One of my friends did it and it was delicious. Use both in the layers.

I love the combination of Alfredo and Marinara sauce, we make it all the time and have it over penne pasta!

We sometimes when making an alfredo dish add fresh tomatoes chunks and it really makes a difference. Try that too on your cheese layers - you're sure to like it!

Yummyyyyyyy!!!! I'm a big pasta and italian foods lover and this sounds AMAZING!!! Made me want lasagna now lol

Sounds really good but don't use that much so that it won't be that guey.

Good Luck!!

Thats the only way I make mine. I get loads of compliments. The sauces play off each other for a great taste!!

Sure, those flavors complement each other. I'm sure it will turn out great. You might try assembling the lasagna as early as possible and let it sit in the frig. I usually assemble my lasagna the night before and let it sit in the frig until it’s time to place in the oven. It makes a big difference! And I also use no-cook noodles- they always come out just fine.

Never know until you try, but it sounds good to me. Good luck.

Yea it does actually, use a spicy tomato sauce to give it an extra zing. A restaurant i know mixes alfredo and spicy marinara on pasta, it's so delicious! Enjoy your lasagna :)

My traditional lasagne recipe calls for a bechamel sauce, which is similar to Alfredo..a white cream sauce made with butter, flour, milk and nutmeg. So Alfredo should be a good substitute.
