Grilled cheese sandwhich...

Butter 2 pieces of bread. Put a slice of cheese (American or cheddar is the best) in the middle, and put this sandwhich in a pan on the stove. On medium heat, cook the bread, flipping it over periodically so the bread doesn′t burn.
Cook until the cheese melts inside, and serve with tomato soup. YUM!

1/2 c. chopped green stuffed olives
1 c. chopped oil cured black olives, (pitted)
4-5 pepperoncini, minced
1/2 c. roasted red peppers, chunks
1 c. olive oil
3 tbsp. fresh parsley
large pinch red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. each oregano and basil
2 tbsp. white wine or balsamic vinegar

1/2 red onion, sliced in circles
1/2 lb. Havarti cheese, thinly sliced
1/3 c. Prosciutto or Capicola ham, thinly sliced

Combine ingredients for salad and allow to stand overnight so that flavors can mingle.
Slice the bread in half, slicing off the top portion (like a cap) and scoop out some of the center of loaf. Drizzle oil from salad on both top and bottom halves, using a good deal of the mixture for the bottom half.

Layer the olive salad, cold cuts, cheeses, and layer again until all ingredients are used. Top with bread top (cap). Slice into 6 wedges.

This sandwich is worth the effort of preparing it

Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered 1-1 1/2 hours. when sauce is almost finished simmering, brown ground beef in separate skillet, drain off fat, and stir into sauce. Simmer another 20 minutes.
For meatballs, soak bread in water 3 minutes, then squeeze dry and add the ground beef, eggs, Romano cheese, salt, parsley, garlic, oregano and pepper. Form into 16 meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until done.
To assemble sandwiches, put 4 meatballs in each of the buns or loaves, add sauce, then cheese on top, dividing ingredients evenly. (Don't use too much sauce or sandwiches will be soggy.) Wrap each sandwich in foil and bake at 350 degrees until cheese melts.

Slices of lettuce
Slices of tomato
Shredded Cheddar cheese

******HAMBURGER STUFFED FRENCH BREAD
1 loaf French bread
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground beef, browned w/onion and garlic
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (any type)
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
In a skillet, sauté hamburger with minced garlic, chopped onion and (optional) parsley.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Carve top in a circle (leaving a "cap" that you will replace on top later) out of French bread and hollow out the middle. Break up the bread innards into small pieces and set aside in a medium bowl.
To these bread crumbs, add the browned hamburger mixture, condensed cream of mushroom soup, and seasonings to taste.
Mix ingredients well and restuff this mixture back into French bread shell.
Top with cheese and replace the top (hopefully you saved it).
Wrap in aluminum foil and bake in 350°F oven 20 minutes. This will melt the cheese and help the flavors to combine. Slice and serve. Individually wrapped slices freeze well and make a quick and yummy take-to-work lunch.

CLUB IS THE BEST

Ours is really simple. But most people don't go for it. I love "wish" sandwiches. We grew up poor and most of the time, we didn't have meat and cheeses for a sandwich. Ingredients are mayo, tomatos and bread. I also like to fry bologna for my sandwich..
