make this and everyone will love it
7 layer salad
layer ingredients in this order in large glass bowl
1 head lettuce chopped
4-5 stalks celery chopped
purple onion chopped
1 large green pepper chopped
1 bag shredded carrots
1 bag frozen (but thawed) green peas
shredded cheddar cheese
miracle whip (or generic salad dressing) mixed with a bit of sugar, enough to cover the whole top
1 bag/jar bacon pieces

we need more salads during the holidays rather than sweets anyway!!! this is always a family favorite during the family gatherings. Have fun!!!!!

First thing is somebody should have a sign-up sheet that says what they are bringing. Then, everybody knows what's missing and what you have too much of.

I agree with the person above...liek that everyoen can get something different...I just love to bring side dishes...

for something different..... try this....garlic brocollini...its simple...n really good...u can also add a salad dish n take it...

Just warm some good extra virgin olive olive n butter....add garlic..lots of it...n let it sizzle you do not want the garlic to burn...n add salt pepper paprika...n add semi boiled brocollini...n stir.....n cover it n let it steam for a few mins....

Good Luck!

Spinach Dip is my favorite potluck food.

Also, everybody needs veggies.

Make a pot of sweet & sour kielbasa ....... BBQ sauce & jelly cooked in a crock pot with the kielbasa. Eat it with the potato salad, or have them with rolls .... your meal is complete.

I just had a holiday party to sign up for, too. I made broccoli, cheese, and rice casserole. It's easy, I can make it the night before and just pop in the oven for a while before coming to work. Plus, nobody else at my work ever brings anything with broccoli! It was almost entirely gone.
