I'm trying to make cookies, and...?!

Question: It says to put a cup and a half of sugar in it. When I opened my sugar canister, it said 'do not use if seal is broken.'
How do I use the sugar without breaking the seal?
; )

Maybe you shouldn't be messin' with the oven!

Haha.. funny Good luck with those cookies! :)

Very carefully !!??

lol kind of weird isn't it! They tell you not to use it if the seal is broken but you have to break it in order to use it lol

I know they mean that if the seal is broken when you purchased it and you did not break the seal that it could be contaminated and you should use it. If you break the seal, atleast you know where your hands have been! :)

well you see it means do not use if seal is already broken! meaning you didn't break it! but I'm sure you knew that

Surely you jest! You are silly. But, I do know that many people are not too bright, so I'll explain it to you anyway. If the seal is broken and you didn't break it, return it to the store for an exchange or refund. If you break the seal to use it, it's fine and the seal hasn't been tampered with by someone unknown.

Hey Red...are you sure you're not really a blonde? The note regarding the seal means, do not use if seal is broken "prior" to you're opening the package! Now, get baking!

What that means is that do not use if the seal has been broken when you bought the sugar. Once you are home and ready to use the sugar, then it is all right to break the seal. It's one of those confusing warnings they give you.
