Buy a bag at a local store or cut up potatoes in to slices and use vegetable oil and fry them. You can use a frier or a pot and put some veggie oil in it and let them cook. Then add salt.Be careful though, hot oil tends to splash with the fries so try not to get burnt.

Make sure your oil can stand a high heat! Some oils will smoke... I recommend canola or mixed veg oil.

If your making "homade" fries from potatoes , after you slice them put them in ice water in the frige for at least a half hour , pat them dry and then deep fry , they should come out nice and crispy and golden brown.

well, I help my Mom make them all the time, what we do is We peel the potatoes, and then cut them into thin strips, and fry them in a pan of oil, about 425 degrees hot. You'll cook them for about 3 minutes, and then take them out of the oil, lay them on a plate cover with a paper towel, so that the extra oil soaks into the paper towel, and isn't all at the bottom of the plate, making every soggy. And then you just sprinkle salt on them while their still hot, and their great! Hope this helps!

Peel the potatoes, then slice them. Heat some oil in a pan, and when hot add the potatoes, let them fry until they are golden in colour. Let them drain on kitchen paper.

The first thing you want to do is get the right potato. Idaho or russet potatoes, will work the best. Different potatoes have different starch contents so some are better for mashed /baking and frying.
1-Start by getting a pot of water and bring to a boil
2-Cut you potatoes in any size or shape you want
3-Take potatoes and place in boiling water for a few minutes (this is called blanching. you do this to release the moisture, also makes the potato better to fry).
4- let potatoes sit for a couple of minutes
5- heat oil
6- season fries with a little salt and pepper
7- place potatoes in hot oil and cook until golden brown
8-season with salt pepper and eat

hopefully you will enjoy !
