Take the ground beef and mix with your hands, chop some onions finely, mix in with the burger. Shape into patties, cook.
I suggest worcestire sauce or soy sauce in your beef. A little BBQ sauce and a grill is best. If no grill then a good cast iron pan gives flavor.
The first step is to find Good Meat. It will make all of the difference in your hamburger. Go to a meat shop and buy your hamburger.
They are always better on a grill, but if you must, use your broiler.
Make a patty to your liking, and remember it will shrink a bit.
Load it with Cavenders Greek Seasoning.
Depending on if you like rare or well-done, cook accordingly.
I always stay with my food and work it constantly...this always makes it better.
Good Luck
make them TASTY! This is the secret.

plop it in a big bowl
chop up some green onion, garlic and some bacon
add that to the meat, then add in some worstcheire(sp?) sauce, some seasoned salt, pepper, and a bit of tabasco...
then form the meat into balls, rolling in your hands, to make sure it all sticks together...then slowly flatten the ball down, fixing around the edge were it breaks...
cook till your liking...medium, rare, well-done...etc
plase on sesame sead bun, top with lettuce, tomato, and your fav condiments...ketchup,mustard, mayo...etc
One thing everyone is missing is the importance of shaping the patties. In order to get patties that will hold together and not crumble, you must press the meat between both palms then rotate the patty 90 degrees and repeat several times, basically working the patty into shape by pressing and spinning. Doing this will let the heat from your hands slightly melt some of the meat's outer fat, when finished, it will congeal again, forming a solid outer layer that will help it keep together. The same goes for making meatballs. You have to roll them around in your hands for a bit, otherwise they fall to pieces.
Cola Burgers
Ingredients-
1 egg
1/2 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage, divided
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers
6 tablespoons French salad dressing, divided
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
Preparation-
Preheat a grill for high heat. When the grill is hot, lightly oil the grate.
In a medium bowl, mix together the egg, 1/4 cup of cola, crackers, 2 tablespoons of French dressing, and Parmesan cheese. Crumble in the ground beef, and mix well. Form into 6 balls, and pat into 3/4 inch patties. Pour the remaining cola and dressing into a small bowl, and mix well.
Grill burgers for about 3 minutes per side. Brush with the dressing and cola, then grill for 8 to 10 more minutes, basting occasionally.
Simple, easy, safe method:
Wash your work surface and your hands.
Assemble a bowl and a cutting board or a sheet of waxed paper. Put a frying pan on your stovetop. The pan should be large enough to accomodate all the patties at one time if possible. Put your salt shaker next to the stovetop. Locate your spatula ("pancake turner") and put that by the stovetop too.
Open the package of ground meat.
Divide the meat into roughly equal portions, numbering the servings you expect. For example, if you are feeding four persons, divide the meat into four roughly equal portions.
Shape the meat with your hands making it fairly flat but not too thin or it will fall apart, and round like a hamburger patty. Mend any cracks into the meat along the edges. Handle as little as possible while doing this.
Put a bit of salt in your frying pan and turn on the heat. For four burgers, maybe a teaspoon of salt will be sufficient. (You will get a sense of how much salt as you gain experience.) When you can feel the heat by holding your hand an inch or so over the surface of the pan, place the hamburgers in the pan, on the salt.
The salt keeps the meat from sticking and also seasons it.
Turn them when they have been cooking a few minutes. It helps if they are already somewhat cooked on one side, so that they do not break easily when you turn them. If they do, just push the pieces together with your spatula. (It will taste the same.)
Because the process of grinding meat moves all the surface bacteria throughout the meat, there is no safe hamburger that isn't cooked all the way through.
You must wash your hands after handling raw meat, no exceptions. Also wash your work surface. Vinegar and water or bleach and water or any spray that will kill bacteria will work (although the vinegar solution and the bleach solution are kinder to the environment).
If you want to add chopped vegetables, bran, crushed cereal, bread crumbs, spices or whatever, do so before you form the patties.
Handle the meat as little as possible to keep it tender and juicy.
Serve on a bun with lettuce, a slice of tomato, onion, mustard, catsup and/or mayo, or go au natural and serve the patty naked on the plate.
