Help me with my Frosting?!

Question: I am frosting a few cupcakes and a little square cake and I need some help. I know how to make the frosting but I need to know if I can use a little milk instead of heavy cream? And how much vanilla should I use to flavor a batch of frosting. Thanks!

You can use milk instead of heavy cream - you will just get a bit of a different consistency and your frosting wont be as rich but it will still be very good - and you want to use 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract for every two cups of powdered sugar in your batch of frosting.

I depends on what the recipe is. Could you post it?

English version - icing sugar/confectioners sugar (100g) and unsalted butter (50g) plus a few drops of vanilla extract. Or mock cream, 50g unsalted butter, 50g icing sugar, 2tbs boiling water, 2 tbs milk, vanilla extract.

Don't use milk or any of that--

use icing sugar
vanilla- 1 capfull
butter or margarine(soft)
like a tsp of milk

mix to gether with a fork

Yes you can use a little milk. Usually one teaspoon of vanilla is used, but I use up to 2 teaspoons depending on how I want it to taste.

** you can use milk as well as cream, or evaporated milk if you choose
** you can also use condensed milk thinned out with some plain milk to get a taste like Spanish fudge (Dulce con leche), good with a little vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon if you wish
** condensed milk is good with chocolate, some cinnamon and aniseseed for a Mexican chocolate flavor

idk but good luck
