Do you like Meat Tenderizer?!?!

Question: Personally, i love the stuff! I put it on all the meat i cook. It just makes everything more tender and taste better.

I just use the unseasoned kind, which is salt, sugar, and papin (an extract of the papaya which contains an enzyme to break down the meat tissue)

How do other people feel about this wonderful stuff? Do you use it in your cooking?

yea.. i think its the next best thing to water.. keeps your food tender and juicy

most "meat tenderizers" are mostly MSG, a form of sodium or salt. That is why so many people stay away from it. Now, You ask me about meat tenderizer I'll ask how do you want me to tenderize it? Slice it thin, pound it, marinate it in alcohol (beer wine, or hard alcohol), brine it, age it, cook it real slow? are the most popular of tenderizing meat. So when you ask the question, there are many different answers. I don't like the shake on "tenderizers" any where as much as the other methods weather mechanical by beating it with a hamer, or chemical by the use of ingredients that break down the protiens holding the meat fibers together.
