Can i cook sirloin steak in the oven?!
Answers: i think it is wasteful. it is a premium cut of meat and quite tender enough and baking tends to dry the meat out. so if you want to do some baking, use a cheaper cut of meat like round or flank. searing sirloin on a hot plate or grill should suffice.
my b/ does and he adds soy sauce and seasoning and covers it over
Yes, I seal it first in a frying pan spice it and then move the whole thing to the oven. Wile it is baking in the oven I will turn it a few times till it is done. After removing it from the oven let it sit for a little so the sirloin can absorb the juices. Cut and enjoy.
Sure but its a bit of a waist as it will dry it out, better off frying.
Absolutely. Season, marinate, do whatever you want to it before you cook it. When you cook it, turn your oven to broil and use your broiler pan. Pretty much every oven comes with it. It's that 2 piece pan with the slotted top. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. You want to get a nice brown outside but not cook the inside that much or else it will get very, very chewy. Your local grocery store should have insertion thermometers - buy one. Until you learn what the steak should feel like you will either overcook or undercook your steak. Sirloin is at it's best cooked to 130 degrees internal and then let it rest for about 10 minutes at room temperature. After that, slice it thinly and serve.

OVEN COOKED SMOTHERED STEAK
2 lbs. round steak
1 c. flour
1 onion, sliced
1 c. cooking oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Seasoning salt, salt, and pepper to taste
Cut steak into serving pieces. Coat with flour, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Brown on both sides. Place in baking dish, pouring mushroom soup on top, then top with sliced onions. Drain excess oil from skillet in which steak was browned. Make roux with flour and seasoning salt; brown. Add water; do not boil. Pour over steak and cover with foil. Cook in 400 degree oven for 1 hour.
Here's the way I cook steak in the oven and it's juicy and very, very tender:
>Put your steak in a baking pan.
>Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan.
>Add whatever seasoning you like, I usually marinate mine
beforehand
>Cover and seal with aluminum foil
>Bake at 250 degrees for several hours. The length of time
will depend on the size and thickness of your steak, and how
tender you want it to be. It will take 2 - 4 hours. The longer
you bake it the more tender it will become.
It's never dry cooked this way. You can even cook it this way from the frozen state, it will just take about an extra hour to cook.
Sure. Top or bottom sirlion? tops are good for "steak": season, hard sear (brown w/o moving twice. . . i.e sear, flip, sear), and into the oven to temp (get a meat thermometer). This is how steak houses do it. Or! Braise baby! Sear your meat, remove, add carrots, celery, onions, bay leaf, s&p (maybe some tomato paste). cook til lite brown. add some burgandy (at least 1 cup). return the meat to pot. add some beef broth to cover at leat half to three quarters the way up the sirloin, foil, throw in a 350 oven and cook til fork tender. any questions feel free to write.
My hubby puts it in foil on low cooks it for about 4 hours. Its always lovely & tender.
Yes - low and long with a knob of butter black pepper and a glug of olive oil - covered with foil.
It will NOT dry out if you cook slowly and cover.
It will also be very tender.......Enjoy......
If you mean an actual steak then no, unless you wrap in pastry, but you can get a sirloin joint and yes you can cook this in the oven.
NEVER COOK SIRLOIN IN THE OVEN WHAT A INSULT. THAT IS ONE OF THE BEST STEAKS YOU CAN BUY FRY'S IN SECONDS
