Blue Willow Restaurant Chocolate Sour Cream Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 beaten eggs
***Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting***
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup melted butter

Directions:

Grease or line two 9-inch cake pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In mixer, combine flour, sugar and salt. Melt chocolate with butter and water Add melted chocolate mixture to flour mixture and mix lightly. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, baking soda and eggs and mix well for 2 minutes.

Pour batter into pans and bake until wooden pick inserted in middle comes out clean. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool on rack 10 minutes and unmold cake to cake rack to cool completely before frosting.

To make frosting: In mixer, combine confectioners' sugar, salt, vanilla extract and milk. Melt the unsweetened chocolate and add to confectioners' sugar mixture. Slowly add melted butter and beat to spreading consistency. Ice cake using about 1/2 cup of icing between layers.

Ingredients

1 box devil's food cake mix
4 eggs
1 c water
1/2 c canola oil
1 c chocolate chips
1 box choc pudding mix
1 c sour cream

Preparation

mix all ingredients together, beat fo about 3 minutes medium speed
Bake 350 for 1 hour in a greased and floured bundt pan

Ingredients

1 box classic yellow cake mix
1 box instant chocolate pudding
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
8 oz carton of sour cream
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
12 oz bag semi-sweet choc. chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Mix water, sour cream, eggs and oil together and add to dry ingredients.
Mix with mixer until smooth.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into bundt pan.
Bake for 1 hour.
