Yorkshire puddings - how much dripping to preheat in each tin? (making 12 small yorkshires)?!

Question: thanks

Answers: thanks

Tiny bit - argg how to explain! Umm about half a teaspoon to each patty bit!

a small dollope

A tiny drop or else they will be really greasy, did this today.

I use about 4 tablespoons of oil or dripping, they work equally good. Make sure the fat is 'spitting' hot before you add the batter.

just run it round the tin so it shines thats plenty.make one in a 12 inch deep pan sponge tray thats feeds 6.

Just a smidge. Enough so that when it is melted it will coat the bottom, but not enough to float the batter on.

Enough to just coat the bottom of each tray - get the oil hot and put the batter in - don't be tempted to open the door for atleast half an hour or you risk the puddings failing to rise.

I put a bit the size of a broad bean in for each

just a drip no more otherwise they turn out all greasy - ever heard of aunt bessy? she makes superb frozen ones just pop them in the oven for a couple of mins - perfect
