Well here in Trinidad we eat something called Macaroni pie and it tastes really good.I cant measure out stuff for you as i do it all by average, lol. Im a college student too and this makes my life alot easier :)

1 pack macaroni
1 block grated cheese[i use lots and lots of cheese :)
2 eggs
1 sweet pepper[i use pimento]
1 carrot grated
about 2-3 cups milk
1 onion cut in circles
thyme,celery ginger
1/4 stick butter

* Boil macaroni until tender
*Drain and place in large bowl.Add butter while hot.
*In a small bowl, beat eggs, thyme, celery, ginger and salt[I dont cook wit salt so i use alot of seasoning as a substitute].
* Add milk to this mixture.
Throw milk mixture into macaroni and stir up.Next add grated carrots and peppers.Lastly add cheese.Mix up with a spoon and place in greased baking dish.
*Place some grated cheese all over the top of the pie.You can also add some of the grated carrots.
* Bake @350 for 40mins of until sides of pie are brown[not burnt, lol].

Eat and be happy.I love macaroni pie.I dont think I missed anything but if I did Il send u an email with it.

For variations you can add ground beef to the pie or any ground meat for that matter.

Throw a can of tuna into it.

****Pour a can of chili over the top load on some diced onions

Dice up some ham and throw it in

Try adding one or more of the following:

baked/grilled chicken, cut into strips
mushrooms
bacon pieces
sweet baby peas
sun-dried tomatoes
smoked sausage, cut into small cubes
artichoke hearts

add some cooked ground beef and tomatoes and some chili powder

ONE DISH MEAL

2 lbs. extra lean ground beef
1 onion
1 bell pepper
1 lg. can tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 (10 oz.) can mushroom soup
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms
1 can niblet corn
Grated cheese
2 boxes macaroni and cheese

Brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper. Drain. Cook macaroni. Put in baking dish and add remainder of ingredients including cheese packets. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Makes enough for two meals. You might freeze half without grated cheese and add cheese when you are ready to bake

throw in some hot links to spice it up some

O.K. thinking outside the box a little, how about diced chipotle chiles and diced rotisserie chicken and maybe some diced green onions.

Make it into Johnny Marzetti by adding cooked ground beef and spaghetti sauce.

get a muffing tin and grease it. use buiscut dough and put into tin. in a bowl mix mac and cheese hot sauce and ground meat of your choice, put inside dough, sprinkle either another type of chees on top or put another buiscut dough on top, bake 350 until nice and brown.you can also scramble an egg and add chopped spinach and mix with mac and cheese and put in dough in muffin tins and cook the same way, enjoy it would be like a muffin quiche
