If you use boil first noodles by accident without boiling will they still cook in oven if it stays in longer?!
Answers: Accidently used the wrong noodles while making my lasagna and just want to know if anyone else has ever done this and how it turned out. Obviously they won't turn out as well, but if they stay in longer will they at least cook?
Yes, In fact in the industry it is preferred because the noodles cook with the juices of the ingredient of the lasagna, and the starch from the cooking noodles helps firm up the dish
If you have enough sauce it might be okay. Typically, no-boil noodles require more sauce to help cook them but I think you might have a crunchy lasagna. Who knows - it might be better than the other way.
Cover with foil for longer so the top doesn't brown too much.
NOPE sorry, your lasagne isnt going to have enough water content for the noodles to absorb. They wont cook.
They will not cook correctly. They will run out of liquid to absorb. Your lasagna will be dry and hard. The longer you leave it in, the dyer and harder it will be.
There are recipes that take uncooked noodles, but you have to use a lot more liquid than cooked noodle recipes.
Maybe if you can get more liquid into your sauce, you can save your lasagna, but I don't see how if it is already built.
Pour a cup or 2 of water over he top of the lasagna, cover it and hope for the best. I think it will be fine.
