For me, simple is best....and the times I make it this way, are the times I get the compliments!

tuna, albacore, drained
mayo--Best Foods or Hellman
dash of mustard
grated onions
pepper, dash salt
cut up pickles
Mix all together, let sit a few minutes, toast some hearty nutty bread or pita or toasted french, put a piece of crisp lettuce leaf on the bottom, pile on the tuna, top with sliced tomato and either top with another slice or bread or enjoy open faced.
If you want it warm, sprinkle some cheese on top and toast till cheese melts.

Yummy goodness!

3 jalapeno peppers
1 cup of bean sprouts
1 cup of fresh white mushrooms
1 medium tomato

Chop the following ingredients into small pieces; green onions, mushrooms, set aside.
Slice jalapenos down the middle from top to bottom, discard seeds, chop into small pieces and set aside.

In a large bowl mix 2 cans of drained tuna, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise thoroughly, add jalapenos, bean sprouts, green onions and mushrooms, stir ingredients until everything is mixed into tuna and mayonnaise.

Spoon this mixture onto a slice of whole wheat bread covering bread evenly, top with cheese, tomato slices, lettuce and cucumber slices and finish with a slice of wheat bread on top. Cut diagonally serve with a slice of pickle and enjoy

i like tuna with green peper cut it in half and stuff it

pickles, celery, onion, brown mustard, miracle whip, olives (if you like them).

omg i have a really great one
you take onions, celery, green pepers, pickles, and cucumber if you want it (you can take out stuff you dont like)
then you chop it up. ok then you put the mayo and tuna with a little salt, pepperpossibly some paprika and if you want celery salt. it is really good if you mix it with some cold shell noodles! uhh i could even use some right know! oh and add in anything else that you like in tuna but dont get to overpowering! YUM!

this one may not be the best..but its good! my friends look at me like im crazy and say they are not gonna like it..but they end up eating it all.
so easy too.
u add a little mayo to the tuna (in water) and cut apple(gala, fugi) my preference, in little pieces and add that to the tuna bowl...and thats it!! trust me its good.
u can make another one that has no mayo but add lemon and make a pico de gallo and add it. pico de gallo-tomatos, jalapenos, onion(red is better)mayb a lil cilantro.

My parents started making tuna fish salad sandwiches this way years ago, and as far as I'm concerned theirs is the best and only way to make a tunafish sandwich.

First it helps to start with high quality canned tuna. If you have leftover cooked tuna steaks, then by all means use them instead of the canned tuna. Trader Joe's has an excellent canned tuna packed in olive oil. Tuna packed in olive oil may be more flavorful than tuna packed in water, but check on the quality. It may be better to use tuna packed in water, drain it, and then add a bit of your own high quality extra virgin olive oil. This requires a bit of experimentation with brands.

1 (6 ounce) can of tuna fish (if packed in water, drain it, and add a teaspoon of good quality olive oil)
1/3 cup of cottage cheese
2 Tablespoons of mayonaise
1/4 purple onion, chopped finely
1 celery stalk, chopped finely
1 Tablespoon of capers
Juice of half of a lemon
Pinch or two of dill
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

(optional - lettuce and sliced tomatoes)

Slices of French bread, lightly toasted

Mix all of the ingredients. Serve on toast, either open faced, or in a regular sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes. For a low carb option, serve on sliced lettuce.

i have a tuna sandwich at least once a week, and i usually make it right before i run out of food for the week, so all i end up using is what i have left in the cupboards:

1/2 can tuna
2 slices bread
1 slice american cheese (or any cheese)
2-4 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice or vinegar
5-8 crackers, crushed into small pieces
salt & pepper to taste

1) drain tuna, and place in bowl
2) add the mayo, honey, lemon juice or vinegar, salt and pepper, and crushed crackers to the tuna and mix until everything is evenly mixed
3) toast the bread slices (if preferred)
4) take 1-2 tablespoons mustard and smear on each bread slice
5) take the tuna and place onto one of the slices of bread
6) place the cheese on top of the tuna and cover with second slice of bread
7) heat in microwave if preferred

(double everything if you want to make 2 sandwiches, or if you want to use the whole can of tuna)

i hope that's what you were looking for!

What you will need:
(for the sandwich filling,)
1 can of tuna
2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or three tablespoons ranch dressing)
1/4 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of your favorite mustard (I like Inglehoffer or Grey poupon)
pinch of garlic salt (or Greek seasoning)
pinch of paprika or (cayenne pepper or favorite hot sauce)
one or two diced, hard boiled eggs (optional, if you use egg you might want a couple more teaspoons of dressing or mustard)

Mix in a small Tupperware bowl and set aside,

Use two slices of whatever bread you fancy (I like tomato basil sourdough or Jewish rye)
and a slice of cheese (cheddar or smoked provolone are good... I use Blue Stilton, but I have unusual (not to mention, expensive, tastes)

Toast the bread then put about a quarter of the tuna mix and the cheese between the slices and, if you wish toast with butter and a sprinkling of shredded Gruyere (or whatever cheese you like,) in a skillet... The toasted cheese on the outside of the bread has a richer flavor, just don't burn it.

Drain tuna and put in large bowl. Add diced sweet pickles (or pickle relish) about 2 tablespoons. Add a squirt of French's yellow mustard (or whatever brand Yellow mustard you have) and 1/2 cup miracle whip or mayo. Add any or all of the following: 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (white is milder than yellow, red is milder than white), chopped green pepper (about 1/4-1/2 cup), finely chopped celery about 1/4 cup (I put mine in the microwave for about one minute so it's not so crunchy) add canned or fresh diced tomato and a liberal amount of lettuce. Add more miracle whip or mayo to taste after all is mixed. Serve as is with crackers of your choice or make a sloppy sandwich with it. My family likes this as a sandwich, they eat them with forks. (The mustard will cut back the "fishy" taste of the tuna and younger kids will eat it more easily.) Oh, I almost forgot, add 2 dashes of Tabasco to bring out the taste, more if you like it spicey!
