Does someone know a good substitution for goat cheese, ?!


Question: im making a recipe that calls for goat cheese, but i dont like it . is there some other cheese that is not expensive but with the same consistency

I don't like goat cheese either. I think feta is a pretty good substitute.

Cow cheese?

I used to work in a cheese factory that used both cow and goat milk. I can tell you that there really isn't that big a difference. Blue cheese made from cow's milk tends to be very similar though.

swizz ..OR PARMESAN CHEESE...i THINK GOAT CHEESE HAS MORE FAT.

Sheep cheese, but it can get expensive.

cheese is all about preference, get what you want and say screw the consistency.

I came across this article from Dr. Gourmet website. I think it has alot to do with taste and how it compliments the other ingredients... but I'll let you see for yourself.

Marscapone - similar enough consistency and price range. I think the taste is mild enough to work as a substitution for you.
