What is the difference between Pot Roast and Yankee Pot Roast?!

Question: Are there more types of pot roast I am not aware of?

Answers: Are there more types of pot roast I am not aware of?

Yankee pot roast is just a New England name for pot roast. There are many recipes for pot roast. New England style has carrots and potatoes and onions and other root veggies.

The meat used in both of them are either a chuck roast or a brisket

I believe that they are one in the same.....

pot roast is the name of the meat, yankee pot roast is the name of the meal

pot roast = pot roast
yankee pot roast= pot roast, potatoes, carrots, gravy, etc.

Same, same. (I think somewhere along the way somebody wanted a technical name, but in the end it is indeed one & the same)

A pot roast is in the south,,,and a yankee pot roast is from the north, and not allowed in the south....

Actually there really isn't a difference in the meat.
