How many grains of rice in one cup?!

Question: No guessing. Has anyone really counted them?

Answers: No guessing. Has anyone really counted them?

Heres how to get an approximation

fill up 1/2 teaspoon level with rice. Count the grains. Use these conversions to figure out approximately how many grains in a cup.

3 tsp = 1 tbl
16 tbl = 1 cup = 8 ounces

I'm assuming you want to know because of freerice.com

You'll also have to figure out the average volume of a cereal bowl. Go to your kitchen cupboard and find as many different cereal bowls as you can. Fill them with water and dump them into a measuring pitcher. Use this formula to find the average

(volume of bowl #1) + (volume of bowl #2) + ... DIVIDED BY the number of bowls you tested

Rice will increase 3 times in volume when cooked.

Hopes this helps

p.s. It would be ridiculous to count the # of grains in a cup

You might want to specify long, medium, or short grain rice.

loser..whoever those that..who has that much time? now a days anyways!!!!!

1,841.

idk
doesn't it depend?
becauz u really didn't give that much info

It all depends.
Answers can vary anywhere from a bagillion to a trillion.
You have to specify the specs of the rice.

Name where it came from, the approximate size, favorite band, and hair color, and I'm sure we can determine how many grains of rice will fit one cup.

If for some reason you are unable to provide these results, it would be best to put the grains of rice in a blender, and make a nice healthy smoothie.

ok, brb. :)

no idea
