SWEET & TANGY KIELBASA
2 rings of kielbasa
1 jar of grape jelly
1 bottle of any ketchup
Mix grape jelly with ketchup in crockpot. Slice the kielbasa about a fourth of an inch thick and place it into crockpot. Then mix all ingredients together.
Cook on low for about 5 hours.
I haven't had that for a long time but the way I always fix it is to cut it into several pieces depending on how many people there are to eat it, then put it in a saute pan with a can or two of sauerkraut and simmer it till it is hot. (drain all that salty water off the sauerkraut and add fresh water to the pan if you need to) You can put in a few peeled and cut up potatoes to steam in there too if you want.
Apricot Kielbasa
2 lbs kielbasa, cut into manageable pieces
1/2 cup apricot preserves
4 Tbsp coarse or smooth Dijon style mustard
Place kielbasa in a baking dish, mix preserves and mustard and 1/2 of that mixture to the kielbasa.....Bake at 350F for 20 minutes and add the remaining preserve mixture to the top of the kielbasa and continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes.....Serve with sauerkraut or pickled red cabbage and oven roasted potatoes.....
Enjoy!!
