A baking question?!

Question: Could someone help me out with this? I want to bake some tea bread in the smaller mini loaf pans and the recipe gives the time and temperature for the 9x5 pans. What should I do? I am thinking the same temp but less time. ??? Thanks

This recipe gives directions for both sizes of pan ... the large loaf and the smaller ones .....the temperature stays at 350*F for both and the baking time is 50 minutes for the regular loaf and 25 to 30 minutes for the smaller ones .....take a look, and it is really nice recipe, and for tea, too !! ... It has applesauce and tons of spice, in addition to zucchini..............all the best, LPM

I think I would lower the temp about 25 degrees and of course lower the time in the oven.

You will just lower the time. Think of it as baking cupcakes vs. baking a cake. If you are using a multi form pan, the baking time will be very close to the low end of the recipe

You would just have to shorten the length of time, do not lower the temperature.
It's the same with cake, the bigger or thicker the pan, the longer it takes. Like cake is 50 minutes and cupcakes are 20.
So if the bread recipe says 60 minutes you should probably check the smaller ones after about 40 minutes. Stick a toothpick in the center. If it still comes out moist, put it in another 10 minutes and then check it again.
