Can I eat this chicken?!

Question: I made fried chicken last night and after dinner I put the chicken in a tupperware bowl with the lid on. I forgot to put it in the fridge and it sat on the counter in the bowl overnight. Is it still safe to eat?

honestly,

if you had just left the chicken out in the open (say, on a plate, with a paper towel covering it), then eating it would be no problem..unfortunately, that closed lid that you placed over the container that has the chicken produces an environment in which bacteria may flourish.

it's unfortunate to have to throw food out that you spent time cooking, but in this instance, that might be warranted. in this instance, it truly is better to be safe, than sorry. throw the fried chicken out :(

I would not eat it

No it is not safe to eat... throw it out!

if it's from last night i would eat it, no problem

If you reheat it to 165F then you could eat it safely, otherwise THROW IT OUT!

unless it looked like something had happened overnight, I would eat it. I mean it had the lid on, so I think it's safe to eat.

I PROBABLY WOULD, I WOULD HEAT IT WELL THOUGH.

No, do not eat it.

Its not worth the risk. Please throw it out.
