What's a good cokbook to get my mom for christmas?!
Thanks in advance!
Answers: What's a cute, creative, kooky, or amazing cookbook that you could recommend? My mom and I both love cooking, but we are constantly repeating dinner ideas. I know she would love a new cookbook... any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
I happen to like cookbooks with pictures of the finished recipe - so I love my Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Favorites cookbook. What could be better for Christmas?
Other than that -gosh, I have so many, what to choose? I really like Moosewood Restaurant cookbooks, but they are mainly vegetarian. If you can find them, she might enjoy the "Nitty Gritty" cookbooks. They are rather small but they are specific to certain types of food - so you can narrow it down to what she really likes. There are Nitty Gritty books on bread; soups and stews; no sugar-no fat; mexican' that's italian!; cookies - you get the picture.
Good luck and Merry Christmas
Better Homes and Garden or Betty Crocker
That is what my wife wanted for Christmas last year.
be careful giving a cookbook to someone , they might think you are saying they don't know how to cook. James Beard has a good book or two on the market.
Any of the "Company's Coming" cookbooks are great and there's a wide variety of them. They've been around for years and have great recipes.
HONESTLY I'D HAVE TO SAY THE BEST ONES I'VE FOUND HAVE BEEN OLD ONES FOUND AT THRIFT STORES + SUCH , THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THE WAY OLD RECIPES NO ONE SEEMS TO REMEMBER + THE BONUS IS THEY DON'T COST MUCH , YOU'LL BE ABLE TO GET HER MORE THAN 1. I'VE FOUND ONES GOING BACK TO THE 50'S , NOT JUST AMERICAN EITHER
Rachel Ray 30 minute meals. They are quick - good - and easy! She also has other cookbooks.

I like Paula Deen. Two of my favorite cookbooks are by Dom Deluise- the food is superb, and he has a lot of stories in there too from his career and childhood.
