Tap water is a little bit yellowish - not completely clear?!

It really depends.
Where i live the well water is yellow(ish) but it is still dribkable but if the problen just started, then i think you need to boil it for sure, but definetly call the water company!!!

I live in Ft. Lauderdale FL and the water is yellow/greenish all the time. They say it's safe to drink, but I prefer drinking bottled water...

Well, I would /definitely/ boil it, and maybe then strain it through a filter, you can use a coffee filter if you have one, but since I don't know what's causing the discoloration, I can't tell you how safe it would be.
It could be sulfur.
Do you live in town, or in the country, with a well?
If you have city water, call the water company as soon as you can and ask them if they're aware of any problems in your area, and tell them about the color, and and odor that might be present.

drink bottled water for now. and wait for the water to go clear in your house and then start drinking from there. If by any chance you don't like bottled water, boil it and clean it out with a cheese cloth.
