If I use a McCormack's envelope of seasoning, how long should I heat "fully cooked" shrimp coated in it?!
Answers: I'm afraid they will get tough since they're already cooked.
that is good thinking, you don't want to do anything more than warm them up. If you defrost them, warm them up to room temperature, you only have to heat them up to about 120 or so, and then serve.
if it was me, I would thaw them in a strainer so they were dry and room temperature. Then I would sautee them in olive oil and minced garlic and maybe a little bit of that spice. I would toss them in the hot oil until they were coated and a little bit warmed up, and then serve. Over pasta!
I do it until I know they're hot all the way through -- they don't seem to get too tough, but maybe I'm not that picky!
Just a minute or 2. Bring the shrimp to room temp first so they're heated for less time.
I heat them on medium about 5-7 minutes
It doesnt take long...if its in the microwave about 1:45 should be good. Wet a paper towel and cover the bowl you have them in (this will lock in flavor and moisture. If its in the pan after the pan is heated through about 2-3 minutes.
wrap in foil and put in a 250 oven and heat for about 20 minutes. Ive just tried Old Bay Seasons steamed shrimp bags. It was awsome. I use fresh wild caught shrimp. Try.
Agggg!!! Get a cook book and learn to season yourself! That stuff is a rip-off.
Heat gently through, or your shrimp will yes turn to rubber.
Only heat until just warmed through as you do not want to recook them.
Hope they turn out tastey :)
