Do you have a recipe for APPLE BETTY?!

Question: Apple Betty

4 - 6 McIntosh apples, depending on size
Cinnamon
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of flour

Spray square baking pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Peel and slice apples, arranging in bottom of baking pan. Sprinkle with a little bit of water. Then sprinkle with cinnamon to taste, maybe a teaspoon or so. Crumble butter or margarine, flour and sugar together until small crumbs form to make a streusel. Drop streusel onto apples. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned. We like this cold from the fridge but some people like it warm.

In a small bowl combine the cake crumbs, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, cloves and salt and toss to thoroughly combine.

Scatter 3 tablespoons of the crumb mixture onto the bottom of the baking dish and top with half of the apples. Drizzle the apple cider over the apples then top with about half of the remaining crumb mixture. Dot with half of the remaining butter. Repeat with the remaining fruit, crumbs, and butter.

Bake until the apples are bubbly and tender and the crumbs are nicely browned, 45 to 50 minutes.
