When I was a child we always had Christmas pudding and it was usually my Grandma who made it. Sorry I haven't got the recipe coz it was handed down to my mother and then to my sister.....I'm the youngest so I won't get it coz that's how they do things in my (so-called) family!
There were always loads of sixpences hidden in the pudding and there was always 1 person who nearly choked to death on theirs even tho we all knew we'd each get 1 LOL. As I got older I developed an aversion to Christmas pud and I don't eat it now neither does Tc or our daughter.
I make a really sticky gingerbread cake at Christmas if I feel up to it, and I put 5p pieces into it. We're in England btw.
(Sympathise with you and your pain coz it's pouring with rain here today and playing havoc with my arthritis!)
