Can I make a cherry pie with cookie crumb topping???!

Question: I overcooked biscotti, but I don't want to just throw it out.

I know how to make a cookie-pie crust, but cherry pie would just be weird without a top crust. So, is there a way I can make a crumb topping with the biscotti?

Thanks so much!

Sure, throw them in your food processor and make some crumbs, mix with some cold pat of butter butter and maybe some oats and put on top of your pie. Will it work? You'll never know unless you try.

check a recipe for Dutch Apple pie it has a crumb topping.
even use a cobbler recipe.

I would put the crumbs on top maybe 15 mins.before the pie is done...or top the pie with the crumbs and cover lightly with foil. You could also mix the crumbs with a little melted butter, before topping your pie.Give it a try and see....

Yes just crush your bicotti up and add in some sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Crumble it up on top of the pie and bake.

Of course you can. It would taste great. Just make sure you add a little tapioca (preferable) or cornstarch to the filling.
