How does that green ring get on a potato chip?!

Question: It's a slice of a real potato that has been exposed to light (turns them green on the outside).

Answers: It's a slice of a real potato that has been exposed to light (turns them green on the outside).

They used pototos not quite ready, ripe or whatever you call a potato not ready for harvest ... green

Just checked out the web and Anonym.. is correct it says on web not to leave potatos in light or they will go green.

Thats a good question but I don't know.

Because it's been cut from a green potato. It wont hurt you, but dont eat fresh green potatoes!

Some times the potatoes are still a little young and not fully ripe when they make potato chips the ring is because is was not fully ripe when made in to a potato chip.
