Do you put butter on your peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?!

Question: I butter both pieces of bread. My mom always made it like this.

Answers: I butter both pieces of bread. My mom always made it like this.

I put butter on darn near everything, so yes!

No. I skip the jelly all together and put peanut butter and honey on them. It's so delicious! Try it sometime. :)

Does the butter add to the taste? I've never heard of that before. . .I guess I'll have to try it and see what the difference is. Perhaps it makes the peanut butter easier to spread without tearing the bread?

EDIT: Yes, honey and peanut butter is good - I've had that. Also, peanut butter and bananas (instead of jelly) is good too.

I usually only put butter on my PB&Js when I am making them on toast, otherwise I don't butter my bread.

Nope don't need the extra calories..

NO GROSS!!!!!

no i haven't but it sounds delicious i'll have to try it sometime

I don't but my mom always did too. I still can't break myself of putting butter on toast then putting on peanut butter though...it just tastes better that way to me. Do whatever tastes better to you.

No. I just put peanut butter and jelly. I don't even like PB&J anyway, so I don't even eat it. But still, I don't put butter. =]

I eat peanut butter with butter or jelly but not both.
