Best Spritz Cookie Recipie Ever?!
Please....I also need tips on using the cookie press from Wilton. Everytime I try to the cookies seem to stick and I have to force them of the plate.
I know you can also use different kinds of extracts, but can you mix them....say like vanilla and pepermint? Would that tatse good? Thanks and happy holidays!
Answers: Would anyone mind sharing the best ever Sprtiz recipie they've used? The last one I tried was kind of bland and not very tasty. I want to make yummy ones for Christmas.

This is my favorite spritz cookie recipe. I looked on-line first becasue i didn't want to try and dig mine out. It's made with Philadelphia brand cream cheese. You can even add food coloring to the dough for a more festive look, Enjoy!

Spritz
1 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract (instead of van, you could use almond)
2 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Heat oven to 400F.
Mix butter, sugar, yolks, extract thoroughly. Work in flour.
(you can use food colour if desired). Using 1/4 dough at a time, force dough thru cookie press on ungreased baking sheet in desired shapes.
Bake 7-10 mins, or until set & not brown.
PS---mixing extracts---if you r making candy cane cookies, it's a mix of vanilla & almond extract to give the peppermint flavour! Pretty cool.
Happy Baking!
