How long can I keep Evaporated Milk in the fridge once I open the can?!

Question: You can't keep the milk in the can once it is opened. Pour it into a plastic sealable container or bag. I wouldn't keep it more than a couple of days.

I just found an answer for you on a website too. It agrees that you can't store it in the can (it's unsafe) but also says to use the opened milk within 5 to 7 days. Go to:

Milk
- evaporated 4-5 days * Keep covered.
(opened)

sweetened, 4-5 days *
condensed
(opened)

Do not put it back in the refrigerator in the can. Take out of can and out in glass or plastic container with a lid. It will keep about a week; no longer.

Until it starts to smell sour. Ha ha.
