Anyone have a better recipe for cooking Apple crumble than me?!
Answers: I usually put margarine and flour together to make the crust on top. I use a table-spoon of water with 2 large cooking apples and put them in the oven for 5 minutes and then add the mix of margarine and flour and cook them of another twenty minutes with a homemade custard. does anyone have any tips for making it taste better? Or does anyone do it the same?

yes mines won prizes and was served to prince Philip
I add sugar in with the flour and margarine to make the crumble. I also put the apples in at the same time as the crumble, also throw a few raisins and some cinnamon in as well.
Frozen blackberry's work well added in as well (but leave the cinnamon and raisins out)
I make it the same way, except I add 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to the apples.
You could also add nutmeg, if you like it.
firstly use butter not margarine, make your crust with half butter to flour and then the same amount of sugar as butter i the crumbs. the apples put in saucepan with a splash of orange juice and saltanas and sugar to taste and then cook for about 10 mins. put apples in dish put crumble over the top, ccook in oven gas mark 4 20 mins.x
For the crumble crust I use 6oz plain flour, 3oz butter, 3oz caster sugar - put it all together in food processor and whizz it up into crumbs.
I chop the apples into small chunks and put in large saucepan, add 2tbsp water, bring to boil and simmer until starting to go soft. Add sugar to sweeten.
I then put the apple mixture into a small casserole dish and let it cool down (if it's too hot when it goes in oven then the crumble crust will go soggy). Pour deep layer of crumble over the top of the cooled apple and bake in oven at 180c for about 15-20 mins until slightly brown on top. I cook it a few hours before it will be eaten, and bake again for 15-20 mins before serving as this leads to a nice crunchy crumble crust. Beware of the fruit bubbling up over the top of the crumble as it makes the crumble soggy.
I add cinnamon to the flour to make the crumble.
try butter instead of margarine, cinnamon (sorry cant spell) with the apples and also desiccated coconut in the crumble part is really nice
when cooking the apples use Cinnamon and a little nutmeg. and for the crumble use some crushed nuts (personally i like walnuts but go with what you like) then sprinkle brown sugar generously over the top.
