try apple sauce...many people substitute it for the fat in baking. as far as beating the ice cream and milk into something, grab a straw cause you are gonna end up with a milkshake!

have you got any margarine

You can substitute veggie or canola oil.
I do it all the time and it will work just great.

Go with Kristy - use some vegetable oil or margarine if you have it. If not... you really need something with an oil base and milk/cream is not gonna cut it... you may need to run to the store real quick before going any further!

Learn
Butter is butter

the only thing close that you can use would be vegetable shortening...DON'T USE MARGARINE...the higher moisture content will keep your cake from rising properly...you may want to take a quick trip to the store and grab some butter...i REALLY want this to work for you...better safe than sorry

any kind of oil will work...... your canola oil is fine!!!!

Go too the store and get some...lol
Or you can use oil, but it will not taste the same, but still be ok!!!

Mayonnaise is a good substitute. You can find a lot of recipes at www.Hellmans.com or

You can use oil/shortening/margerine in the cake. For the icing, just icing sugar & water is the simplest icing.
