1. Heat a medium size skillet over medium heat. (You'll know it's hot enough when you splash a few drops of water on it and it sizzles.)
2. Put mayo on one side of each slice of bread. (Most people use butter to brown the bread, I use mayo. I think it tastes better and makes it a more golden brown and doesn't burn as easily.)
3. Put the desired cheese on the side of bread that does not have mayo on it.
4. Place both slices of bread, mayo side down and cheese side up, on the skillet.
5. Once the cheese starts to get a little melty (only takes a bit), put the sandwich together.
6. Finish cooking to desired doneness.
7. If you want any trimmings (mayo, lettuce, tomato, etc.), disassemble the sandwich, add trimmings, then assemble again.
Try eating it with tomato soup. Just put the undiluted soup in a sauce pan. Add a can full of milk, not water, and stir constantly until hot and smooth.
take two slices of bread, butter them. put buttered side down on griddle or skillet. top each slice of bread with slice of cheese.cook on medium till cheese melts, and bread is toasty. assemble sandwich, slice, and enjoy.
Bread, cheese and butter on top of the bread grill and or fry on both side until the cheese melts
Butter one side of two pieces of bread. Heat a pan on medium heat for a few minutes.
Slice up some cheese (cheddar is really best for grilled cheese).
Put the cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice of bread. Cover the cheese with the other unbuttered side of the bread covering the cheese and gently put it into the pan.
Get a plate out, ready for the fried cheese sandwich to come.
Check it in about a minute or two by lifting just a corner with your spatula to see if it is browning. When it is golden, flip it over and repeat.
When it is done don't forget to turn off the pan.
get a frying pan out, and heat it over medium heat on the stove. Get out bread for however many sandwiches you'd like, butter one side of the bread(s). Cut over thin layers of the velvetta cheese for however many sandwiches you'd like. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in you preheated pan, cook until golden in color, remove from pan. put a second slice of butter bread, butter side down in the pan, top it with a slice of cheese and then the browned bread, with the browned sid eon the outside. Cook until the bottom bread is browned and the cheese is melted, you may have to add a lid to help melt the cheese. Remove the sandwich from pan, repeat for as many sandwiches you'd like, then turn off the oven/stove burner and enjoy!!!
butter your bread liberally, turn on pan to med heat put slice of bread in butter side down add cheese on top top with other slice of buttered bread..cook for a couple of minutes then turn, brown that side take out of pan and enjoy!
