1/3 Red wine vinegar, 2/3 Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 clove crushed garlic, 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well. Wonderful !

Red Wine Vinaigrette

1/2 cup red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup olive oil

Mix the vinegar, lemon juice, honey, salt, and pepper in a blender. With the machine running, gradually blend in the oil.

Basic recipe:
Combine Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Red Wine Vinegar (3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar). add salt and pepper to taste, mix well and serve.

You can experiment with adding different flavoring elements such as finely minced garlic or prepared mustard.

Ok - here's a serious answer.

Place a teaspoon of Dijon mustard in the bottom of a bowl. Add a clove of crushed garlic, or a dash of garlic powder. Put in a dash of salt and some fresh ground pepper. Add about 3 T of red wine vinegar and whisk well. Slowly add olive oil - about 6 T while whisking. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Toss with salad. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper .
1/2 c olive oil .
1/2 c red wine vinegar .
1 (1 7/8 oz) envelope lipton herb with garlic soup mix .
2 tbsps sliced shallots .
1 tbsp Dijon mustard .
1 1/2 c vegetable oil

Directions

Step #1 In a bowl, mustard, whisk the oils, soup mix, vinegar, shallot, & pepper together.
Step #2 The dressing will keep covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Step #3 Remove the dressing from the refrigerator 1 hr before using to allow the oil to liquefy.
