Brownie and Bar Cookie recipes?!

Butterscotch Brownies
Butterscotch Brownies are wonderful, super quick and easy bar cookies you can make with ingredients in your pantry.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped cashews or walnuts, if desired
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In heavy saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Then remove from heat and stir in sugar until blended. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. Add dry ingredients and mix. Stir in nuts, if using, and spread into a greased 13x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes. Then cool on wire rack and cut into squares.

Grandma's Apple Cookies
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/3 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
1 cup chopped apples
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Cream the shortening and brown sugar together. Mix in the egg and milk. Stir in the apples. Add the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg. Stir in the nuts and dates.
Either drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet or spread dough into a 13x18 inch lightly greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes for the cookies or 20 to 25 minutes for the bars. Let cool then ice, if desired.
